Round Table was started in 1927 in Norwich by a then young Rotarian, Louis Marchesi, who saw the need for a club for like minded men who were still a bit too young for Rotary but had something to offer back to their local community.

Although we appreciate the traditions and history of the Table movement, we at Petersfield tend to be a bit more low-key with the fomalities. Most of our meetings are held in The Square Brewery where we meet for dinner and a few beers to either discuss the serious business of the club (we call these Business meetings) or enjoy some entertainment and socialising (we call these Entertainment and Socialising meetings!) and somehow all involve a fair consumption of alcohol - this is not compulsory, but it is for charity! Petersfield Table Grace

Adapt, adopt, improve.

Official Table Grace

May we, O lord, adopt thy creed,
Adapt our ways to serve thy needs,
And we who on thy bounty feed,
Improve in thought, in word and deed.

The whole Round Table organisation is getting cool and trendy too. Click on the dump of the new national website to the right to go and have a look at the National site for more information on Round Table in general. nationalwebsite
